About MBA 616

The MBA 616 course went over the below topics:

• Business Intelligence / Business Analytics

• Data Visualization

• Modeling and Simulation 

• Data Warehouses

• Data Mining

• Big Data

I use Excel and Tableau in my current job and it was nice to learn new features that I can apply to my daily work! Solver and Scenario Analysis can be used for financial purposes to help with budgeting and forecasting.

​

The most challenging project was with creating a model with Simile. I had never used that software before and there was a bit of a learning curve to be able to utilize all of the features.

I am very excited to see where Big Data will go! I think we are only scratching the surface of the full capability that Big Data can provide.
